Verbal reasoning (VR), also known as’verbal reasoning test’ or’verbal reasoning examination’ is, in essence, ‘reasoning and understanding using words – it aims to evaluate a student’s ability to reason constructively, rather than simply recognise familiar words’. Verbal reasoning is more like an examination of a specific skill than an examination of acquired knowledge.
