It is difficult for an IIT student to tell the difference between a genuine case of fabricating and an instance where someone has intentionally pulled off the same trick. It is extremely embarrassing for an IIT JEE aspirant and the only thing they have as a method to prove themselves right is to complete and pass the course. However, there are other reasons that the course can be fabricated. Faking can even be done by a novice IIT student to appear as well-suited to a higher level and get a better rank in the exam.
For every student, it is hard to know the difference between fabrications and genuine cases of exam-faking. There are so many ways that someone can tamper with or change the exam papers to suit their needs. So how do you find out whether you are actually doing an IIT JEE?
The first thing that you should do when faced with a fake is to ask for a copy of the paper. If it was submitted by the test centre, they would usually hand it to you along with the syllabus and instructions for the exam. If it is a student who is taking the exam, they would provide you with a written copy of it.
There are a number of ways to check if the IIT JEE paper is genuine or not. The first thing that you can do is to check the paper for any obvious signs of fabrication. Some common signs include plagiarized material or plagiarism on both sides of the page, incorrect spelling and grammar, the wrong orientation, missing answers, wrong acronyms and wrong answers, and so on.
After you’ve checked the paper, check for any alteration that was made after the papers were prepared by the center. You might want to ask the student about it or check if they handed you the syllabus. to make sure that there is no other student who took the same exams with the same questions or the same answer.
If any student handed you the syllabus after you have asked them about the material, then they must have altered the material by themselves. Then check whether the answers are the same as in the syllabus.
When you’re done with these two methods, then look for the signature of the instructor that gave you the syllabus or the center. If you can find it, then you are most likely to be dealing with an authentic case of IIT JEE exam-faking.
When dealing with the case of IIT JEE paper, you can get into a discussion with the instructor or the center’s management. Ask them whether they knew about the modifications in the syllabus or they would have not allowed it if they had known about it.
The management or the instructor might also be willing to give you a copy of the original syllabus if you show that they knew about it. or that you found out. so that you can verify its authenticity.
If you are still not sure if the paper is genuine or not, you can always ask for a copy of the same and take it to the centre with you for examination. you to examine it yourself.
There are more ways that you can go about finding out if the IIT JEE paper is genuine. but the above mentioned tips would be good enough for most students. Asking for a copy of the paper would give you peace of mind.
