Physiology – An Overview

Physiology refers to the study of bodily functions of living organisms. As a part of biological science, physiology mainly focuses on the chemical and physical activities of a living organism, i.e. how different parts of a body to perform their functions. It also deals with the physiological systems that are involved in the processes of the body. It involves the study of the interaction between the living organisms and their surroundings.

With the help of scientific discoveries and advancements in modern times, the field of physiology has become very popular and widespread. This field of science is highly regarded as an essential branch of biological science and it has been used to treat a wide range of diseases and conditions.

Physiology primarily deals with the functions of the body systems and their interrelationships with one another. These interrelationships are mainly involved in the regulation of the functions of the internal organs and tissues and the physiological processes of the body. These tests, techniques and procedures are known as physiotherapy and are aimed at improving the functioning of the different parts of the body. These tests are important for patients suffering from disease and other conditions that require the assessment of the functioning of the different parts of the body.
